Next Link in the Evolutionary Chain

For a little more than three years, Nikon users have had a pretty generous offering in the D700 with it's 12.1-megapixel FX-format CMOS sensor, high-ISO/low noise handling capabilities and fast, accurate 51-point AF with 3D Focus Tracking abilities.  But the masses have been clamoring for more.  Apparently, Nikon has been listening.
Introducing Nikon's powerhouse additions to their DSLR line - the D800 and D800E.  This impressive camera promises images of a higher quality than has ever been possible with its massive 36.3MP FX-format CMOS sensor - never before seen in a full-frame DSLR camera.
